AZZ Inc Announces Acquisition of Acme Galvanizing Inc.

Global metal coating solutions, welding solutions, specialized electrical equipment and high-engineering services provider AZZ Inc. (NYSE: AZZ) announced that it has acquired all assets of Acme Galvanizing, Inc. ("Acme"), a specialty hot-dip galvanizing and zinc electroplating company based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which has been operating for over 100 years. Acme provides quality metal coating services to the post-fabrication steel market. Transaction terms were not disclosed. AZZ expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings within the first year of operation. Through the acquisition, AZZ added an established and successful metal coating operation with a diverse customer base operating in an 80,000-square-meter facility located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Going forward, AZZ plans to operate the new facility as AZZ Galvanizing and Coatings - Milwaukee, further expanding AZZ's capability to serve Midwest customers. The new metal coating facility will be integrated into AZZ's existing network of hot-dip galvanizing facilities, bringing the total hot-dip galvanizing network to 40 facilities across North America.
