DIC Corporation Acquires BASF's Global Pigments Business

DIC Corporation has completed its acquisition of BASF's global pigment business, known as BASF Colors & Effects (BCE). The acquisition brings together the complementary technologies, products, manufacturing assets, supply chain and customer service portfolios of the two companies to serve customers globally. Kaoru Ino, President and Chairman of DIC Corporation, said, "We are pleased to complete the acquisition of BCE and expand our product range as one of the world's leading pigment suppliers. BASF's pigment portfolio is an important strategic contribution to rapidly achieving the targets we outlined, providing a clear growth path for DIC towards our goal of increasing sales to 1 trillion yen (approximately EUR 8 billion) by 2025." The acquisition will create a first-class pigment supplier offering an even broader range of versatile solutions to customers, expanding Sun Chemical's portfolio as a global pigment producer.
