EİB Increased Export Volume by 51% in June
Aegean Export Associations achieved USD 1.55 billion in exports in June, up 51 percent.
In the first half of 2021, EİB increased its exports by 30 percent, bringing USD 7.646 billion to Turkey, and reached USD 14.774 billion over the past 12 months with 17 percent momentum.
Aegean Iron and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association achieved USD 225 million in exports with a 131 percent increase, reaching both the highest export figure for June and becoming the growth record holder.
Aegean Ready-Made Garments and Confectionery Exporters Association recorded the second-highest exports with USD 131 million, up 26 percent.
Aegean Aquatic Products and Animal Products Exporters Association, maintaining its leadership among 7 Agricultural Associations, closed June with USD 117 million, up 50 percent.
Aegean Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Exporters Association achieved a 25 percent increase, bringing USD 112 million to Turkey.
Aegean Mining Exporters Association raised its exports by 37 percent to USD 101 million, while Aegean Tobacco Exporters Association reached USD 81 million in exports.
Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters Association saw its June exports rise to USD 73 million with 56 percent momentum.
Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters Association achieved USD 63 million with a 2 percent increase, while Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters Association brought USD 62 million to Turkey in June with a 6 percent rise.
Aegean Textiles and Raw Materials Exporters Association's exports advanced to USD 36 million with a 122 percent increase.
Aegean Olive and Olive Oil Exporters Association's exports reached USD 14 million with a 13 percent increase.
Aegean Leather and Leather Products Exporters Association achieved USD 13 million in exports with a 65 percent increase.
Industrial and mining sectors exceeded USD 1 billion for the first time in history
Jak Eskinazi, Coordinator President of Aegean Export Associations, stated that June marked the period in which they showed their best monthly export performance, noting that 11 Associations managed to increase their exports while only 1 Association maintained the performance of the previous period. "Our Agricultural Associations' exports rose 22 percent to USD 527 million, our Industrial Associations' exports reached USD 921 million with 76 percent momentum. Our mining sector's exports increased 37 percent to USD 101 million. Thus, our industrial and mining sectors have exceeded USD 1 billion for the first time in history. Our Iron Association also set a new record by surpassing USD 200 million. Five of our Associations exceeded USD 100 million in exports. This picture is a sign that our exports will continue to rise further. The increase in vaccinations and significant progress recorded especially in important markets for us such as the European Union, United States and China show that normalization globally will materialize in the near term.
