Henkel Continues Growth Investments
Sales at Henkel in the second quarter of 2019 were realized at nearly the same level as the corresponding quarter of the previous year on a nominal and organic basis. Henkel demonstrated positive organic sales growth in the first half of 2019.
Hans Van Bylen, Henkel CEO, said, "As we have announced, we will continue to implement our strategic priorities and bring our planned growth investments to life. We are focused on strengthening our business units and further increasing our competitiveness for sustainable profitable growth." He continued his remarks:
"We are pursuing a long-term strategy with clear priorities and ambitious targets. Our investments in brands, technologies, innovation and digitalization form the foundation of our commitment to sustainable profitable growth." he stated.
Sales at Henkel in the second quarter reached EUR 5.121 billion, nearly at the level of the same quarter of the previous year. Organic sales, adjusted for the effects of currency fluctuations, acquisitions and disposals, showed a decline of 0.4%.
The contribution from acquisitions and disposals was at the 0.5% level. The negative impact of currency fluctuations on sales was 0.5%.
