ISO Announces "Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises-2018" Survey

According to the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's (İSO) "Turkey's 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises" research, which has exceeded half a century and produces the most valuable data for the industrial sector, TÜPRAŞ topped the rankings in 2018 with production sales of TRY 79 billion. On the list, Ford Otomotiv maintained its second position with production sales of TRY 31 billion, while Toyota Otomotiv retained third place with production sales of TRY 23.6 billion. Alongside an 11% increase in exports recorded by the İSO 500 enterprises, the rise in the share of high-technology-intensive industries in value creation and the increase in the number of R&D-performing companies were encouraging developments. Financing costs for İSO 500 companies continued to be a problem, as in previous years. İSO Board Chairman Erdal Bahçıvan: "Turkish industry continues its production successfully with the accumulation and resilience it possesses in its core operations, even under the most difficult conditions. As the production economy and the support given to it reach an increasingly more qualified position with each passing day, the picture in financial statements will also turn positive in the medium term." According to the "Turkey's 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises" research announced by İSO Board Chairman Erdal Bahçıvan at the press conference held, the top three exporting enterprises in 2018 consisted of companies from the automotive sector. Accordingly, TÜPRAŞ topped the industrial rankings in 2018 with production sales of TRY 79 billion. On the list, Ford Otomotiv maintained its second position with production sales of TRY 31 billion, while Toyota Otomotiv retained third place with production sales of TRY 23.6 billion.
