Kervan Gıda's Egypt Investments to Generate $27 Million in 2025

Kervan Gıda announced through a Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) filing that a second production line has come online at its subsidiary MCC in Egypt, bringing regional production capacity to an annual 10,000 tonnes. With the newly commissioned investments, the company's consolidated production capacity has increased 15% compared to two months prior, reaching an annual level of 131,410 tonnes. The company's investments in Egypt are expected to contribute approximately USD 27 million to the African market as of 2025.

Kervan Gıda disclosed developments concerning its strategic investments in Egypt through a Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) announcement. Kervan Gıda General Manager İdris Can noted that the company strengthened its position in the European market by acquiring ZPC Otmuchów S.A. and PWC Odra S.A. in Poland in 2021, and stated that a 15% increase in total production capacity was recorded over the past two months through the Egypt investments, thereby expanding the company's export network.

"Consolidated capacity rose to 131,410 tonnes"

İdris Can, noting that as a company conducting approximately 80% of its sales in foreign currency, the firm is working to increase production capacity in line with sales capacity, said "In order to strengthen our strategic targets in the Middle East and Africa region, we decided in July 2023 to establish a new production facility in Egypt, an important country in Africa. MCC in Egypt, located in the 10th of Ramadan district near Cairo, on a 10,000 m² plot, initially brought a licorice line with annual capacity of 2,500 tonnes into production in January 2024. Additionally, during the relocation of our production facility in Istanbul to our new facilities in Manisa, we shipped a jelly line with annual capacity of 7,500 tonnes to Egypt. The installation of this line was completed and production began as of 12 August 2024. With the new production line coming online, our consolidated production capacity increased from an annual level of 123,910 tonnes to 131,410 tonnes. We expect our investments in Egypt to contribute approximately USD 27 million to our projections for the full year 2025."
