TSKB Provides USD 45 Million Support for Ova Enerji's Storage-Integrated Wind Power Investment

Türkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası (TSKB) has provided an investment loan of USD 45 million for the Çayırlar Storage-Integrated Wind Power Plant (DRES) project, which Ova Enerji, a company of the Erdem Holding group, will develop in Bergama, İzmir. The project, which combines renewable energy generation with energy storage technologies, will contribute to Türkiye's energy transition while supporting grid security and continuity of supply.

Turkey's Industrial Development Bank (TSKB) has provided investment credit of USD 45 million for the Çayırlar Energy Storage Wind Power Plant (DRES) project, which Ova Enerji, a group company of Erdem Holding, will implement in İzmir Bergama. The project, which combines renewable energy generation with energy storage technologies, will contribute to Turkey's energy transition while supporting grid security and supply continuity.

Under the agreement signed between TSKB and Ova Enerji, the financed Çayırlar DRES Project will have a total installed capacity of 43.5 MW. Thanks to the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) included in the project, more effective management of the generated renewable energy will be achieved, while the electricity grid will be supplied with more flexible and directable energy.

The investment, which integrates advanced wind energy technologies with energy storage systems, aims to increase grid stability, enable more efficient use of renewable energy sources, and contribute to Turkey's targets for reducing carbon emissions.

Ozan Uyar: "We view investments supporting energy supply security as a strategic priority"
TSKB General Director Ozan Uyar made the following comments on the agreement:

"In our country's sustainable development journey, we view technology-focused investments that support energy supply security and grid stability, alongside the diversification of renewable energy sources, as a strategic priority. We are pleased to provide financing for this important project from Ova Enerji, a group company of Erdem Holding, which will contribute to the clean energy transition. As TSKB, we will continue to steadfastly support investments that contribute to Turkey's transition to a low-carbon economy."

Mehmet Rıza Erdem: "We will contribute to strengthening grid infrastructure"
Mehmet Rıza Erdem, Board Member of Ova Enerji, noted the following:

"We are pleased to sign a new financing agreement with TSKB for our Çayırlar DRES project, which will contribute to our country's clean energy future. We are adding another investment to our approximately 20-year business partnership between TSKB and Erdem Holding. This integrated project with a battery storage system will contribute to strengthening grid infrastructure while directly serving carbon reduction targets. Together with TSKB, we will continue our investments that support Turkey's sustainable growth."

In this version, the news value is positioned more clearly around the USD 45 million financing, energy storage wind investment, energy supply security, and carbon reduction targets.
