Mustafa Aydın Appointed as Finance Group President at Sabancı Holding
An important management change has taken place in the senior management of Sabancı Holding. Orhun Köstem, who has served as Head of the Financial Group for approximately 5 years, will step down from his position at his own request effective 31 May 2026. Köstem will continue to serve as CEO Advisor until the end of 2026 and will retain his board memberships at Group companies.
Sabancı Holding has undergone an important management change at the executive level. Orhun Kösthem, who has served as Head of Finance Group for approximately 5 years, will step down from his position as of 31 May 2026 at his own request. Kösthem will continue to serve as CEO Advisor until the end of 2026 and will maintain his board memberships in Group companies.
Mustafa Aydın has been appointed to the position of Head of Finance Group at the Holding as of 1 June 2026.
A strong appointment from within the Group
Mustafa Aydın, who has held various positions within Sabancı Group since 2013, most recently served as Deputy General Manager responsible for Finance and Digital Technologies at Çimsa. As of 1 January 2026, Aydın has also been serving as Acting General Manager at the same company.
"Made critical contributions"
In comments on the matter, Kıvanç Zaimler noted that Orhun Kösthem made important contributions to Sabancı Holding's financial strategy during his tenure. Zaimler stated that Kösthem played a critical role particularly in capital management, resource allocation and sustainable growth.
Pointing out that Mustafa Aydın, who is taking up his new position, has led important projects including the Mannok acquisition, US grey cement investment and agreements with international financial institutions, Zaimler emphasized that Aydın will contribute to the Group's growth objectives in his new role.
Mustafa Aydın's career
Mustafa Aydın completed his undergraduate education in Business and Economics at Boğaziçi University and then completed the Executive MBA program at Sabancı University. Starting his career as an Inspector at Garanti BBVA, Aydın subsequently held a position at the Ministry of Finance Accounting Experts Board.
Having held financial advisory and director positions within Sabancı Holding, Aydın later served as Group Manager responsible for Financial Affairs and Digitalization at Enerjisa Üretim. Most recently noted for his roles at Çimsa, Aydın will lead the Holding's financial management in his new position.
