TİKAV Launches Communication Project for Rural Women

Türkiye İnsan Kaynakları Eğitim ve Sağlık Vakfı (TİKAV) aims to strengthen family and intergenerational communication among women living in rural areas through its “Kuşaktan Kuşağa Konuşuyoruz” (We Speak from Generation to Generation) project. Funded by Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji, the project is being implemented in different regions across Türkiye throughout 2026.
The Human Resources, Training and Health Foundation of Türkiye (TİKAV) aims to strengthen family and intergenerational communication for women living in rural areas through its "Speaking Generation to Generation" project. The project, financed by Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji, is being implemented across different regions of Türkiye throughout 2026.
As part of the project, women receive training on topics including verbal and nonverbal communication, family communication, intergenerational understanding, and conflict management. TİKAV aims to develop individual communication skills and strengthen family bonds through these efforts.
The trainings were conducted in various rural areas, particularly in Mersin, Osmaniye and Aydın where Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji operates. The programmes addressed the causes of intergenerational differences, the impact of prejudices on communication, and healthy communication methods.
TİKAV officials emphasised that the project aims to strengthen not only interpersonal communication but also the social fabric, noting that the gains achieved are expected to translate into long-term social benefits.
It was stated that through its previous projects, the foundation has reached more than 12,000 women and their families, and the new project aims to increase this impact even further.
