I extend my gratitude to all our members who have placed their confidence in us and deemed us worthy of serving for another 4 years. In this new 4-year process, which is my second term, I will serve our sector in a much stronger manner together with our İKMİB Board of Directors. Our new target is to increase our sector's exports to above USD 50 billion by 2030 and to achieve sustained sectoral leadership. To elevate our sector to a position of exporting chemistry technology with high value-added products and to increase our unit kilogram export value above USD 1.5. As the rising star of exports, the chemical sector, we aim to increase the Turkish chemical sector's market share globally from 0.5% to above 1% through our Chemistry Technology Center, which will be a first in Turkey, and our Turkey Chemistry Agency projects. In addition, we will establish the "Turkey Chemical Industry Strategy Document" with the collective intelligence of all stakeholders in our sector."Pelister: "We Will Work to Establish an İKMİB General Secretariat"
Pelister, stating that they want to give sub-sectors with exports above a certain value the status of "Exporter Association," said: "We believe that each of the sub-sectors of our chemistry sector should gain the identity of 'Exporter Association' and collectively İKMİB should obtain its own General Secretariat. With the "Exporter Association" status, particularly in plastics, rubber, paints and coatings, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and medical, mineral oils and mineral fuels, cosmetics and cleaning sectors, we believe our sub-sectors will carry our chemistry sector from success to success with much broader representation. We have initiated efforts to realize the dream of many years. We will follow up to ensure that the initiatives we have launched in this regard are successful. God willing, we will realize this dream in the new term."Advertisement
