Smart Industrial Complex to Open in 2023

İSTMALL AVM (İkitelli Industrial Trade Shopping Center), Turkey's smart industrial complex comprising smart offices, smart factories and smart shops, is opening in Başakşehir in June 2023.

İSTMALL AVM (İkitelli Industrial Trade Shopping Center), Turkey's first smart industrial complex, is being launched in the heart of Başakşehir İkitelli Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ). Construction of İSTMALL AVM, located in the heart of İkitelli OIZ and expected to be completed in a manner befitting Turkey's 2023 vision in the 100th year of the Turkish Republic, is expected to be a large industrial and commercial complex fully equipped with smart technology. İSTMALL, which will consist of three separate blocks, will house 164 smart offices, 115 smart shops, 60 workshops, manufacturing units and factories. İSTMALL AVM, which will accommodate industry, production and many vital areas, was designed with 310 independent units, featuring power management and odor-filtered mechanical rooms.

"We Sought to Provide Smart Technology Compatible with Artificial Intelligence"

Remzi Aytekin, General Manager of Bios Urban Transformation, providing detailed information about the structure: "The building's groundwork took approximately 2 years. We studied how we could best address the shortcomings of Turkey's industry and how we could make it stand out, particularly in a period when industry and production are valued in our country's 2023 vision, and what benefits we could provide to our nation. As a result, we started operations a year ago. The industrialist comes, produces in the project we have created, sells and markets what is produced, presents it to people, receives guests in the office, manages personnel, human resources and accounting, and then what remains is living in a comfortable space. The way to provide this comfort in today's conditions is through technology. We must provide comfort to the industrialist so they can work more productively. We have done this with smart offices. Smart homes are popular and well-known to people, but such a thing has never existed in industry before. We are trying to open such a path in industry that a person, sitting in their place, can call a taxi or a repairman through an intercom if they wish; they can turn on the air conditioning in their office and control heating and cooling. We really tried to provide smart technology compatible with artificial intelligence," he said. General Manager Remzi Aytekin continued: "We have completed the difficult stages of construction. Together with truck ramps and truck areas, we are constructing a total of 132,000 square meters of enclosed space. Approximately 70 percent of the enclosed construction area has a 6-meter ceiling height and truly structural strength suitable for industry. A first project in Turkey and perhaps in the world. İSTMALL AVM is our first mixed-use project. Trucks loaded with goods can come and park in front of each shop and the industrialist can dispatch and manage products to the location where they are sold, and at the same time when one shop receives a truck, the other is not kept waiting," he said.
