Akçansa's First-Half Sales Reach TRY 9.9 Billion

Akçansa announced its financial results for the first six months of 2025. The company's sales for the period amounted to TRY 9.9 billion.

Akçansa disclosed its financial results for the first six months of 2025. The company's sales in the period reached TRY 9.9 billion.

Akçansa, a joint venture of Sabancı Holding and Heidelberg Materials, announced its financial results for the first six months of 2025. Accordingly, the company's sales in the first six months of the year reached TRY 9.9 billion, while EBITDA for the first half of 2025 stood at TRY 905.6 million.

In comments on the matter, Akçansa General Manager Vecih Yılmaz stated the following: "Challenging market conditions triggered by contracting demand prevailed in the first half of 2025. The second quarter of the year progressed more favorably compared to the first three months, with exports playing an important role in this positive momentum. Alongside our effective operational network that enabled us to move dynamically between domestic sales and exports, we navigated a balanced period through our disciplined approach to cost and financial management. Of course, the first half of the year was marked by contracting domestic demand as well as cost pressures stemming from inflation. In particular, our increased total sales volume, especially with the contribution of exports, along with the normalization of energy costs and increased operational efficiency, contributed to our financial performance. During this period, we continued to maintain a strong balance sheet. We continue to contribute to the sustainable development of our country and to create value for all our stakeholders."

Noting that they have undertaken significant work focusing on operational efficiency and sustainability in the first half of the year, Yılmaz further stated: "We have begun work to enhance the efficiency of our operations at our Çanakkale port by replacing one of our loaders with a 10,000-ton/day capacity with a new loader equipped with 15,000-ton/day cement and clinker loading capacity. With our Ladik Cement Plant also obtaining gold-level CSC Certification, we became the first and only building materials manufacturer in Turkey to hold this designation across all cement plants. Furthermore, by publishing Turkey's first TSRS-compliant integrated activity report without barriers, we demonstrated our support for an inclusive sustainable future."

Noting that they have undertaken work creating value for stakeholders in the social and environmental spheres, Yılmaz stated: "We are pleased that the work we have implemented through our Voluntary Journey in the social sphere and through the Marmara Islands Artificial Reef Project in the field of biodiversity have received awards at prestigious platforms such as the Golden Figure International Building Catalog Awards and the Turkey İMSAD Investment in the Future Awards. We will continue our work that strengthens our sustainable future journey."
