Akfen Renewable Energy Signs Share Purchase Agreement
Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji, continuing its investments uninterrupted to reach 1,000 MW of installed capacity from only domestic and renewable sources in Turkey by 2020, signed an equity purchase agreement for the Sarıtepe – Demirciler Wind Power Plant (RES) with 80 MW of installed capacity located in the Bahçe district of Osmaniye.
Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji, which signed an equity purchase agreement with Zorlu Rüzgâr Enerjisi Elektrik Üretimi A.Ş. for the Sarıtepe-Demirciler RES project, has reached a total installed capacity of 712 MW in its portfolio.
Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji General Manager Kayrıl Karabeyoğlu: "We are advancing with confident steps towards our target of reaching 1,000 MW of capacity, both by constructing our own power plants and through new acquisitions.
Going forward, we will continue with acquisitions in the renewable energy sector and additional capacity installations at our own facilities." he said.
