Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji Signs Three Investment Agreements in One Week

Akfen Renewable Energy, which operates 700 MW of installed capacity using only domestic and renewable sources from sun, water and wind, announced 3 separate investment agreements within one week. With these 3 hybrid solar power plant (GES) projects totaling 66 MW of installed capacity and to be completed within 2024, the company's installed capacity producing from only domestic and renewable sources will reach 766 MW. The investments will be commissioned and begin energy production during 2024. Akfen Renewable Energy, which operates 700 MW of installed capacity using only domestic and renewable sources from sun, water and wind, announced 3 separate investment agreements within one week. With these 3 hybrid solar power plants (GES) totaling 66 MW of installed capacity, the company's installed capacity producing from only domestic and renewable sources will reach 766 MW. The projects for which turnkey engineering, procurement and construction contracts have been signed will be completed and begin energy production within 2024. Two of Akfen Renewable Energy's GES investments will be implemented in the areas of the company's 57 MW Sarıtepe and 23 MW Demirciler wind power projects (RES) in Osmaniye, which are operated under the İmbat Enerji subsidiary. The Demirciler Hybrid GES project, to be established as a hybrid GES, will have 13.27 MW capacity, while the Sarıtepe Hybrid GES project will have 12.98 MW capacity. The third hybrid GES project, for which construction has begun, will be implemented at the Üçpınar RES site in Çanakkale with 112.2 MW capacity, also operated by Akfen Renewable Energy under the Derbent Enerji subsidiary. The hybrid project, to be established as Üçpınar Hybrid GES, will have 40 MW of installed capacity. The 3 new hybrid GES plants to be completed in 2024 will be able to benefit from YEKDEM and fixed price guarantees in US Dollar terms for the remaining "Renewable Energy Resources Support Mechanism (YEKDEM)" period of the facility on which they will be installed.
Akfen Renewable Energy General Manager Mustafa Kemal Güngör made the following comments on the matter:
