Aksa Elektrik to Distribute Electricity to 10 Million People in Uzbekistan

Aksa Elektrik, a group company of Kazancı Holding, has taken over electricity distribution services for the Tashkent and Jizzakh regions following Samarkand, as part of its growth strategy in Uzbekistan. Aksa Elektrik will distribute more than 20 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually to a total population of 10 million. As a result, electricity distribution in Uzbekistan's three most important regions will be carried out by a Turkish company.

Aksa Elektrik, a group company of Kazancı Holding, has assumed responsibility for electricity distribution services in the Tashkent and Jizzakh regions of Uzbekistan, following Samarkand, as part of its growth strategy in the country. Aksa Elektrik will distribute over 20 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually to a total population of 10 million. Thus, electricity distribution in three of Uzbekistan's most important regions will be carried out by a Turkish company.

Aksa Elektrik, which operates the distribution companies Çoruh EDAŞ and Fırat EDAŞ and provides electricity services to approximately 4 million people across 9 provinces in Turkey, continues to transfer its long-established institutional knowledge and operational experience in electricity distribution to new regions in Uzbekistan. According to the new agreement, Aksa Elektrik will now be responsible for operating the electricity distribution infrastructure of the Tashkent and Jizzakh regions, which are Uzbekistan's most important regions from economic and demographic perspectives, following Samarkand. Operating electricity distribution services in the country's three regions with the highest concentration of industry, commerce and settlements, Aksa Elektrik will ensure energy access for a total population of 10 million. The amount of energy Aksa Elektrik will distribute will exceed 20 billion kilowatt-hours annually.
