Arkema Ranks 28th in ICIS Top 100 List

Arkem Ranks 28th in ICIS Top 100 List ICIS has unveiled the ICIS Top 100 Chemical Distributors List for the 14th time, the most comprehensive global ranking of companies in the chemical supply chain. Arkem Kimya, a Turkish company that regularly appears on the ICIS Top 100 Chemical Distributors list, ranked 28th in Europe and 67th globally. Arkem Kimya supplies approximately 500 chemical substances, including monomers, alcohols, aromatics/aliphatics, esters, glycols, glycol ethers, plastics, chlorinated compounds, amines, fatty acids and alcohols, ketones and surfactants. Brenntag topped the list with USD 20.9 billion in sales in 2022, followed by US-based Tricon Energy with USD 12.5 billion, US-based Univar Solutions with USD 11.5 billion, Germany-based Helm with USD 8.6 billion, and Japan-based Nagase & Co with USD 6 billion. Joseph Chang, Global Editor of ICIS Chemical Business, stated: "Chemical distributors are evolving rapidly to serve the increasingly complex and ever-expanding needs of both suppliers and customers. Last year, they successfully managed major supply chain challenges stemming from the Russia-Ukraine war, energy volatility and lasting effects of the pandemic. This year, distributors are focused on helping customers achieve their sustainability and net-zero carbon emission targets. This includes working with suppliers to offer more products with lower carbon footprints and bio-based and recycled content, as well as providing greater transparency about these important sustainability principles." The ICIS Top 100 Chemical Distributors List was compiled with the support of the European Chemical Distributors Association (Fecc), the US-based National Chemical Distributors Association (NACD), Associquim (Brazilian Chemical and Petrochemical Distributors Association) and Responsible Distribution Canada (RDC).
