ASELSAN Enters the Financial Technologies Sector

ASELSAN entered the financial technology sector, adding a new area to its operations. This will be reflected in both the orders ASELSAN will receive in the coming period and diversity in its customer portfolio. ASELSAN's technological accumulation is being opened for sharing in the financial technology field in line with the company's mission and with public interest as the highest priority. As one of Turkey's leaders in research, development and innovation, ASELSAN will share with the financial sector its experience at every stage of engineering from design to production, from sales to after-sales support. During this sharing, rather than focusing solely on its technological strength in the defence sector, it will maintain its localization and nationalization priority as always and also contribute to the development of the local supplier ecosystem in the financial technology field.

'We Signed a USD 129.7 Million Contract'

ASELSAN Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün: "We are pleased to add a new dimension to our investments in this field by entering the financial technology sector. We will reflect all the experience we have gained so far in defence technologies to the financial technology field. We will use our ability to produce end-to-end system technology from hardware to software in financial technologies. ASELSAN, which always prioritizes public interest at the highest level, will be present in every area where it is needed in this new field of activity. We have carried our localization and nationalization vision to every field in which we have operated so far. Through our activities in the financial technology field, producing products and systems currently procured from abroad would be a tremendous development for us to be part of ensuring that significant resources remain in our country. Additionally, in the coming period, we will transform our hardware and software experience in areas such as information security and cryptology, which we frequently use in defence technologies, into products, systems and solutions to be used in financial markets. ASELSAN signed a contract worth USD 129.7 million with domestic organizations operating in the finance sector in the financial technology field. Under the scope of the said contract, deliveries will be made between 2021-2026.
