Axalta Invests in Bonded Metallic Powder Coating Facility in Landshut, Germany

Axalta Germany announced it will expand its facility in Landshut. This facility will be the second production site in the region for bonded metallic powder coatings, alongside Axalta's Montbrison plant in France. With the second production facility, Axalta will be better positioned to meet growing demand for high-quality metallic powder coatings, particularly those used in architectural and design applications. Axalta's powder coating product range includes the ICONICA, Optimum Fine Texture, Anodic and Timeless collections, along with more than 150 ready-to-use metallic powder coatings. Klaus Gast, Director of the European Powder Coatings Business Unit, said: "We are excited to increase our production capacity in Germany with state-of-the-art equipment to deliver the highest quality products to our customers and expand capacity. The new equipment will provide greater efficiency and faster turnaround, and will enhance our ability to produce small batches with short lead times when required. This provides us with greater flexibility while delivering better results and services for our customers." Axalta's metallic powder coatings meet Qualicoat Classes I and II, as well as GSB International quality standards Standard and Master requirements. Bonded powder coatings offer high UV resistance and excellent durability. Coated surfaces stand out with high gloss, optical depth and a wide range of striking color effects. Bonded metallic powder coatings are used in the painting of facade elements, profiles, aluminum and steel coatings, as well as windows, doors and indoor and outdoor furniture.
