Brandt Significantly Expands Production Capacity in Illinois

Brandt Companies Group announced that it has acquired the manufacturing facility and equipment of Kongskilde Industries A/S in the United States. The 200,000 m2 facility located in Illinois was previously used for manufacturing agricultural equipment for the American market. Shaun Semple, President of Brandt, said, "We are very excited to have rescued this facility from the possibility of closure. We are pleased to have found an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to American economic growth with this world-class production facility." Located on 40 acres of land, the facility is fully equipped with the latest equipment, including a modern powder coating line. Brandt will use the facility to manufacture agricultural equipment for the American corn and soybean markets. Production is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2018, and employment is expected to reach 300 within five years. Brandt has maintained a strong and growing presence in the Canadian manufacturing scene since 1932 and currently sells its products in more than 20 countries worldwide. This acquisition represents Brandt's first manufacturing venture in the United States.
