ÇEİS Wins Occupational Health and Safety Special Award at "Ortak Yarınlar 2025" Competition

One of Türkiye's long-established employer unions, the Cement Industry Employers' Union (ÇEİS), was awarded the Occupational Health and Safety Special Award for its project "Occupational Health and Safety Culture Analysis in the Cement Sector" at the "Common Tomorrows 2025" Award Program organized by the Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations (TİSK).
Çimento Endüstrisi İşverenleri Sendikası (ÇEİS), Turkey's prominent employer confederations, has been awarded the Occupational Health and Safety Special Award at the "Shared Futures 2025" Award Programme organized by the Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations (TİSK) for its "Occupational Health and Safety Culture Analysis in the Cement Sector" project.
ÇEİS, which has been conducting long-standing studies aimed at raising sector-wide standards in occupational health and safety, develops comprehensive projects ranging from training programmes and field analyses to professional competency activities and sectoral awareness initiatives.
OHS Culture Analysis Setting an Example for the Sector
The "Occupational Health and Safety Culture Analysis in the Cement Sector" project stands out with its comprehensive methodology that addresses employee behaviour, organizational safety perception, risk awareness, management approaches and communication processes from a multidimensional perspective. Field data obtained within the project scope reveals the sector's strengths and areas for improvement through a systematic approach.

Shared Futures Awards Promote Sustainability in Working Life
The Shared Futures programme organized by TİSK serves as an important platform that promotes sustainability in working life, safety culture, social impact and innovative practices. Projects are evaluated by a jury composed of independent experts using multidimensional criteria and are awarded following a transparent process supported by public voting.
The OHS Special Award is given to projects that place occupational health and safety at the centre of organizational culture and create measurable impact.

Through our training infrastructure and field practices, we are pioneering the development of OHS culture in the sector. The meaningful reductions achieved in accident frequency and severity rates despite increased production capacity are tangible evidence of these efforts. The OHS Culture Analysis Project has also revealed improvement areas through a scientific approach. We will continue our work without interruption to take the sector towards a safer future."
