Dinçer Lojistik Achieves 20% Revenue Growth
Dinçer Lojistik, which serves a niche yet important market segment in hazardous-materials logistics in Turkey and is frequently recognized for its services for chemical and hazardous chemical substances, closed the first quarter of 2017 with growth exceeding expectations, achieving a 20 percent increase in turnover compared to the same period of the previous year.
In addition to the chemical sector, the company provides logistics services to the construction, mineral oil, industrial products and automotive sectors; it offers customers storage and door-to-door distribution services for a wide range of packaged products, from 1-gram packaging to 1-tonne IBCs.
Dinçer Lojistik, which established a hazardous chemical substance storage facility meeting international standards in Dilovası—a region where the chemical sector operates intensively and which is frequently mentioned due to the negative environmental impacts it creates—and which commenced operations in the fourth quarter of 2016, continues to expand aggressively in the storage segment.
Banu Akbaş, Marketing and Sales Manager at Dinçer Lojistik, stated that "there was no hazardous-materials warehouse in the Dilovası region meeting SQAS and NFPA standards, and that they have filled a serious gap in the sector in this regard."
Akbaş, noting that they have begun operations for storage and distribution preparation of hazardous chemical substances in 2 new facilities with a capacity of 30,000 pallets, built on a total area of 20,000 m2 in the Dilovası region—which holds a strategic position due to its proximity to ports and container terminals and is regarded as the capital of the chemical sector—continued as follows:
"As a result of dedicated work from our drivers to our management team and serious infrastructure investments we have made, we have achieved a significant market share in the transport sector. This year, by focusing on storage projects, we are targeting 2017 to be the 'Storage Year for Dinçer.'"
