Dow Introduces V Plus Perform™ Product Applied by Isopan with Leaf Technology
Dow Polyurethanes has developed V Plus Perform™ technology, which offers top-level performance for rigid foam insulation. Isopan is the first company to apply this technology and brought it to market in 2017 with Isopan Leaf Technology. Creating energy-efficient buildings is becoming increasingly important. Additionally, complex and stringent requirements from European regulations and national building codes are also increasing the need for high-performance construction materials. To help construction and building companies address these challenges, Dow Polyurethanes and Isopan have worked together to offer two new technologies: Isopan Leaf technology with fully integrated Dow V Plus Perform™ technology. The first result of this combination is an improved Isopan sandwich panel series, available in early summer 2017 along with a thinner and lighter high-performance version. Dow Polyurethanes' Energy Efficiency Joint Marketing Director Alberto Mercati said, "Considering the requirements in the construction and building world, it is becoming increasingly important that products are lighter, more energy efficient, easier to use, and at the same time comply with rules and regulations" and continued, "These were the factors on our mind when we started working on V Plus Perform. We were in collaboration with Isopan and we are very pleased that V Plus Perform Technology is now being brought to market with Isopan's Leaf Technology." Alessandro Cuomoise, International Markets and Brand Development Manager at the Italian Manni Group, which controls Isopan companies, said, "Isopan is committed to reducing the environmental footprint of the construction sector. We hope our business partners will share our vision, which provides significant advances towards a green and circular economy model." "Collaboration with Dow was born in these facilities and became a solution that can benefit all value chain players. Our LEAF technology, in addition to being a halogen-free flame retardant, meets multiple sustainability criteria such as Euroclass B-S1, d0; superior insulation properties and meets LEED® V4 criteria. All these features add more value to your building in Isopan sandwich panels."Advertisement
