Turkey's Color Atlas, bringing together our cultural memory, architectural heritage and the aesthetics of lived experience, came to life with two special collections featuring the distinctive colors of Bodrum and Alaçatı.
The Colors of Bodrum: Bringing Aegean Light into Spaces
The Bodrum Color Collection, the first in the series, was created drawing inspiration from the region's distinctive atmosphere. DYO designed 11 special colors that tell the story of Bodrum, inspired by the Aegean's white stone houses, streets adorned with bougainvilleas and the blue of the sea.
Colors in the collection:
Bodrum's Evil Eye, Lime White, Bougainvillea, Cedar Tree, Wind, Beach, Marina, Sponge, Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, Sun and Mandarin.
This series was specially prepared for those who want to bring the feeling, scent and view of Bodrum into their living spaces.
Alaçatı's Enchanting Atmosphere Comes to Life in Colors
The Alaçatı Color Collection, the second stop of Turkey's Color Atlas, reflects the peaceful and nostalgic texture of the Aegean in 13 different colors. The collection, created drawing inspiration from Alaçatı's stone architecture, lavender fields, windmills and sea breezes, comprises the colors:
Alaçatı's Antique, Streets, Stone, Windmill, Lavender, Strawberry Tree, Mastic Teardrop, Herb Festival, Cloud, Breeze, Bay Window, Sail and Olive Skin.
Each color brings the distinctive spirit and vitality of Alaçatı into spaces.
A Cultural Journey Through Colors
DYO's Turkey's Color Atlas series is more than just a color collection; it is a design guide that tells the cultural story of our country.
This project redefines the traces of the past, lifestyles and the identity of geography through each tone. The series, designed not merely to see colors but to feel them, aims to be a reference source for architects, designers and color specialists.
Each page aims to lead viewers through the narrow streets of those cities, let them feel the coolness of stone walls and experience the breeze of the sea.
