Aegean Exporters' Associations Deliver TRY 1 Billion 261 Million in State Support to Exporters

In the Ministry of Trade's budget, resources were allocated for TRY 33 billion in state aid to be provided to exporters for 2025. The Aegean Exporters' Associations acted as an intermediary in channeling TRY 1 billion 261 million of the state aid granted by the Ministry of Trade to exporting companies and cooperation organizations.
The Ministry of Commerce has allocated resources in its 2025 budget to provide TRY 33 billion in state aid to exporters. The Aegean Exporters Associations mediated the delivery of TRY 1 billion 261 million of state aid provided by the Ministry of Commerce to exporting companies and cooperative organizations.
Turkey recorded USD 262 billion in exports in 2024, while the Ministry of Commerce delivered TRY 17.6 billion in state aid across 15 categories to exporters and cooperative organizations to increase the competitiveness of our exporters. When services export support is included, the Ministry of Commerce provided TRY 24.7 billion in support to exports in 2024.
Jak Eskinazi, Coordinator Chairman of the Aegean Exporters Associations, noted that in 2024, due to high inflation figures in Turkey, input costs increased far more than global competitors, and exchange rate increases lagged behind inflation rates, stating that state aid was a lifeline for exporters during this period.
Sharing that they facilitated the delivery of TRY 764 million 800 thousand in state aid to exporting companies and cooperative organizations in 2023, Eskinazi said: "State aid processed in 2024 reached TRY 1 billion 261 million with a 65% increase. International fair participation ranked first with TRY 461.6 million in support, TURQUALITY Projects ranked second with TRY 313.5 million, and unit rental support ranked third as the most state-supported category with TRY 107.6 million. Market entry certificates, agricultural support, global supply chain, domestic fair participation, e-exports, foreign market research, sectoral delegations/virtual delegations, foreign/domestic fair organizers, design support, promotion support, foreign trademark registration support, and UR-GE project support are among the other categories supported by the Ministry of Commerce. Starting from 2025, the EU Green Deal Alignment Project support Responsible support program will be implemented."
Emphasizing that Turkey's export target for 2025 is USD 280 billion, Aegean Exporters Associations Coordinator Chairman Jak Eskinazi added that state aid should increase during a period when exchange rates lag behind inflation, and as exporters who will bring USD 280 billion in foreign currency to Turkey, they are requesting USD 2.8 billion in state support, equivalent to 1% of that amount.
