EİB Recorded Exports of USD 1.437 Billion in November

Ege İhracatçı Birlikleri (EİB) achieved exports of USD 1.437 billion in November with a 19% increase. During the January-November period, EİB generated USD 14.766 billion for Turkey with a 26% rise, and exports reached USD 16.022 billion over the last 12-month period with 25% momentum. Ege Demir ve Demirdışı Metaller İhracatçıları Birliği increased its export level to USD 178 million in November with a 27% advance. Ege Hububat Bakliyat Yağlı Tohumlar ve Mamulleri İhracatçıları Birliği achieved the highest export growth in November at 96%, reaching USD 63 million in exports. Ege Hazırgiyim ve Konfeksiyon İhracatçıları Birliği increased exports to USD 129 million with a 14% rise, placing it as the second-largest exporting association in November. Ege Yaş Meyve Sebze İhracatçıları Birliği, the largest exporter among agricultural and food associations, closed November with USD 128 million in exports at a 10% increase. Ege Su Ürünleri ve Hayvansal Mamuller İhracatçıları Birliği advanced 33% to USD 114 million, while Ege Kuru Meyve ve Mamulleri İhracatçıları Birliği generated USD 99 million for the country with a 7% increase. Ege Maden İhracatçıları Birliği achieved USD 96 million in exports with a 12% rise, and Ege Mobilya Kağıt ve Orman Ürünleri İhracatçıları Birliği reached USD 64 million with a 14% increase. Ege Tütün İhracatçıları Birliği exported USD 54 million, while Ege Tekstil ve Hammaddeleri İhracatçıları Birliği reached USD 43 million in November with 62% growth. Ege Zeytin ve Zeytinyağı İhracatçıları Birliği achieved USD 16 million in exports with an 11% rise, and Ege Deri ve Deri Mamulleri İhracatçıları Birliği demonstrated USD 15 million in export success with a 64% increase.

Agricultural exports of USD 545 million, industrial exports of USD 795 million

Jak Eskinazi, Coordinator President of Ege İhracatçı Birlikleri, stated that they reached their end-of-year 2021 export targets of USD 15 billion five months early, noting that 11 associations increased their exports in November while one association fell behind its previous performance. "By reaching our target, which we raised to USD 16 billion by the end of 2021, weeks ahead of schedule, we brought our exports over the last 12-month period to USD 16.022 billion with a 25% increase. In November, our Agricultural Associations' exports advanced by 17% to USD 545 million, while our Industrial Associations' exports progressed by 21% to USD 795 million. Our mining sector's contribution to EİB exports reached USD 96 million in November with a 12% increase."

EİB 2021 export target moving toward USD 18 billion

Jak Eskinazi emphasized that the iron and non-ferrous metals sector exceeded the USD 2 billion threshold over the last 12-month period, and stressed that USD 424 million or 29% of November exports belonged to sectors not represented within EİB. "Chemical substances and products exports reached USD 1.779 billion over the last 12-month period, making it our region's second-largest exporting sector. These sectors need to be represented within EİB. Our apparel and clothing, aquatic products and animal products, fresh fruits and vegetables, and mining sectors are also sectors that have exceeded USD 1 billion in exports. As a pioneering exporter association in Turkey through its projects in sustainability and digitalization, with breakthroughs and world firsts, Ege İhracatçı Birlikleri will confidently leave 2021 behind with USD 18 billion in exports." Aegean Region provinces reached USD 2.534 billion in exports in November. İzmir, ranked among Turkey's top exporting provinces, achieved USD 1.348 billion in exports in November. Manisa exported USD 455 million, Denizli USD 401 million, Aydın USD 91 million, Muğla USD 69 million, Balıkesir USD 59 million, Kütahya USD 40 million, Uşak USD 39 million, and Afyonkarahisar USD 32 million.
