Evonik's VESTAMID® NRG Polyamide 12 Thermoplastic for Natural Gas Distribution Pipeline Project

Evonik Corporation's High-Performance Polymers business unit welcomed the final ruling by the U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), which amends the Federal Pipeline Safety Regulations for plastic piping systems to include updated standards regarding the use of pipes manufactured from polyamide 12 (PA12) thermoplastic. Doug Weishaar, Business Development Manager at Evonik High-Performance Polymers, commented on the matter as follows: "We are pleased with this announcement from the U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.
