GSK Türkiye Announces New Appointments to Leadership Team
Global biopharma company GSK, one of the leading firms in the healthcare sector with more than 300 years of experience worldwide and over 65 years in Turkey, has restructured its Specialty Medicines business unit in Turkey to support its strategic priorities for its specialty medicines portfolio. As part of this restructuring, İrem Tek has been appointed as "Specialty Medicines & HIV Business Unit Director," while Dağhan Güçlü will take on the role of "Oncology Business Unit Director."

As part of this restructuring, İrem Tek has been appointed as "Specialty Medicines & HIV Business Unit Director," while Dağhan Güçlü will assume the role of "Oncology Business Unit Director."
GSK Turkey is steadfastly continuing its focus in the Specialty Medicines field with new product launches and an expanding portfolio. In this regard, the company has structured the Oncology Business Unit as a separate directorship within the new organizational structure and has established a new directorship under the name "Specialty Medicines & HIV Business Unit."
As of 1 January, İrem Tek, who has begun serving as "Specialty Medicines & HIV Business Unit Director," will also be part of the GSK Turkey Leadership Team.
İrem Tek, who graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Business Engineering in 2012, began her pharmaceutical industry career as a "Business Intelligence Project Manager." Throughout her career, she has gained strong experience in cardiology, urology, smoking cessation, respiratory, and HIV fields in local, regional, and global roles. She started her GSK career in 2019 as "Respiratory Marketing Manager" and was subsequently assigned to GSK's Singapore office, where she led successful projects in the role of "Global Marketing Manager." Before her appointment to her new role, İrem Tek was serving as "HIV Department Head" in Turkey.
Dağhan Güçlü, who currently serves as "Specialty Medicines Director," will continue his position in the Leadership Team as "Oncology Business Unit Director" under this new structure, which will further advance strategic focus and expertise in the oncology field.
Dağhan Güçlü, an alumnus of Boğaziçi University, Department of Economics, completed his Executive MBA Programme at Koç University. With over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, holding various leadership roles, he brings strong expertise to his position. Dağhan Güçlü has been part of the GSK Turkey Leadership Team since 2022.
