Heat-controlled transport is the best solution for food safety
Temperature-controlled transport, the insurance of food safety in every season, carries particular importance especially during summer months. Intermax Logistics Chairman of the Board Savaş Çelikel stated that delivering products to their destination at required temperature levels in every season requires both expertise and solid equipment.
International refrigerated transport carries significant importance for food safety and exports, particularly during summer months. Savaş Çelikel, Chairman of the Board of Intermax Logistics, which stands out for refrigerated transport operations between Turkey and European countries, said, "Maintaining products at required temperature levels in every season requires both expertise and solid equipment. Otherwise, product losses cannot be prevented."
"External conditions also matter!"
Çelikel emphasized that the company safely delivers food and chemical products requiring transport between -25 and +25 degrees Celsius to their destinations with vehicles equipped with cutting-edge technology and experienced drivers. Noting that during operations they pay close attention not only to conditions inside the vehicle but also to external conditions, Çelikel stated:
"If temperature values inside the cargo compartment cannot be kept stable, products that need to be preserved at 4 degrees can spoil. Nowadays, due to climate change, we encounter extreme temperature imbalances. For example, when transporting a product, oppressive heat in a Mediterranean city creates different risks compared to cooler regions in Europe.
Significant temperature differences occur not only abroad but also domestically, for instance between Istanbul and Adana. All precautions must be taken to ensure that temperatures capable of melting asphalt do not damage the products being transported. To eliminate similar risks, you must have state-of-the-art solid equipment, expert drivers who know the transport regions well and have extensive experience."
"We provide services with a widespread agent network and strong infrastructure"
Drawing attention to the fact that refrigerated shipments require greater sensitivity compared to many other types of cargo, Çelikel reminded that some products in the refrigerated category can spoil each other in the same environment. Çelikel emphasized that some product groups, even if protected at required temperature levels, will nonetheless spoil due to storage life limitations if delivery is delayed.
Recalling that adverse weather and road conditions can disrupt traffic or damage vehicles, Çelikel stated, "In either case, delivery may be delayed and time-sensitive products may spoil. Thanks to our organization in Europe, our agent network and logistics infrastructure, we can often prevent potential problems before they arise. Additionally, with the help of technology, we can monitor temperature changes inside the vehicle from our center and intervene remotely."
