Turkey's established furniture brand Kelebek Mobilya makes headlines across multiple fields, from the arts to sports and entertainment. Launching its communications work with the statement "Kelebek is a style" and drawing inspiration from swimming, the brand has provided sponsorship support since 2024 to national swimmer Defne Bahar, who competes for Çanakkale Belediyespor. While all of the athlete's swimming needs are covered by Kelebek Mobilya, the Kelebek family stands alongside the swimmer in every competition she enters, sharing in her successes.

At the Balkan Open Water Championship held in Ohrid, Macedonia on 28-29 August 2024, 11-year-old Defne, representing her country, returned home with a bronze medal, placing 6th in the Balkans in individual competition at 1,250 metres with a time of 18:30:00 and 3rd in the Balkans in team competition.

In June 2023, Defne cleared the qualifying standards set by the Turkish Swimming Federation and was enrolled as an athlete at the Athlete Training Centre (SEM), a project of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, placing her among the ministry's elite athletes. The accomplished young athlete has finished first in all preliminary competitions held at the Çanakkale provincial level. She also placed 4th in the region in the 50-metre butterfly at the 3-4 June 2023 Balıkesir Regional Championships, 3rd in the 200-metre individual medley at the 10-12 May 2024 Sakarya Regional Championships, 3rd in the 50-metre freestyle, and 4th in the 50-metre backstroke.

Defne, who began her swimming career at age 3.5, earned her national title by placing in the top 11 at the 1,000-metre Open Water National Team trials held in Marmaris on 6-7 June 2024. The national swimmer has competed as a licensed swimmer for Çanakkale Belediyespor since 2019.

The young athlete will compete for the first time at the Turkey Championship to be held in December 2024, with Kelebek Mobilya emphasizing that it stands by Defne Bahar, who spreads her wings toward success.
