Kordsa Launches New Production Line to Add Value to Infrastructure Projects

Kordsa's polypropylene monofilament fiber reinforcement line for concrete strengthening applications, whose foundation was laid in December 2017 at its Izmit plant, commenced production in June 2018. With this new investment in concrete strengthening technologies, Kordsa is not only increasing production capacity but also expanding its product range. Kordsa began production in June 2018 of a new variety of its innovative concrete reinforcing synthetic fiber KraTos at the polypropylene monofilament fiber reinforcement line it established at its Izmit plant for the construction sector. Since 2014, Kordsa has differentiated itself in the construction market with innovative macro and micro synthetic fiber reinforcements that provide ease of use in concrete strengthening applications for construction projects, rapid application, reduced labour requirements, improved equipment and energy efficiency, high concrete toughness, long-term durability and low carbon emissions. With its new investment and the new product it has begun producing, Kordsa aims to position it as a superior product particularly for infrastructure projects in terms of cost advantage through efficient dosage use, while providing sustainability and performance benefits.
