Perstorp Secures Future Growth with Planned Capacity Increase for Di-Penta

Perstorp has increased di-pentaerythritol, or Di-Penta, production capacity at its Perstorp facility by 40%. This step resulted from efficiency gains and bottleneck removal efforts across all Di-Penta production plants. Di-Penta is used in numerous applications including UV-cured coatings, synthetic oils, high-solids alkyd coatings, flame-resistant Charmor™ coatings and lead-free PVC stabilizers. Di-Penta offers thermal stability, UV stability, and resistance to weather conditions, chemicals and scratching. It is also an important raw material for many environmentally friendly applications. As the world's largest producer of Di-Penta, Perstorp is working on all fronts to meet rising customer demand for Di-Penta and to enhance the performance it delivers. The industry as a whole has experienced Di-Penta market scarcity for years. Perstorp has worked to maximize Di-Penta production capacity to secure product availability and as a result has achieved capacity increases, making the product fully available.
