PERYÖN Recognizes Aksa Akrilik and Akkim Kimya with Awards

PERYÖN has recognized Aksa Akrilik and Akkim Kimya, two companies that stand out in the sector for their pioneering and innovative practices, as worthy recipients of this year's 15th Human Values Awards. The Human Values Awards, organized by PERYÖN (Turkish Human Resources Management Association) to showcase innovative, creative and successful human resources practices and to promote people-centered approaches that set examples in the business world, found their recipients for the 15th time. Following evaluation meetings conducted over more than 125 hours by 54 jury members, the award ceremony honored institutions selected as outstanding in the "Human Values Leadership Category." Among the distinction-makers, Aksa Akrilik, the only acrylic fiber producer in Turkey and a global leader in its field, received the "Creating Value in the Future of Work Life" award for its "4-Day Work Week" practice. Additionally, Akkim Kimya, one of Turkey's leading chemical brands, was among the companies recognized for the award in the "Learning Organization and Learning Agility" category for its exemplary human resources practices.

Aksa Akrilik Human Resources and Corporate Development Director Yarem Başak Çimen commented on the company's success at the PERYÖN Human Values Awards as follows:

We extend our sincere gratitude to our valued employees, stakeholders and everyone who contributed to enabling us to receive this award." The 4-day work week practice at Aksa Akrilik began as a first in Turkey with a trial period between 1 January and 31 March 2023, and became permanent in April. The company did not apply overtime on other days for the missing working day, and made no deductions in salary and ancillary benefits. As an institution that values people, society and the environment, Akkim Kimya stands out with development programs addressing current and future needs. It continues to make a difference through its public seminars aimed at benefiting society.
