Polisan Kansai Boya Implements Strategic Restructuring to Boost Export Competitiveness

Polisan Kansai Boya, which has held Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status—certifying the reliability of companies engaged in foreign trade and providing significant advantages in customs procedures—since 2016, has established an organizational structure that sets an example for the industry, aimed at ensuring the sustainability of the comprehensive criteria required by this status.

Polisan Kansai Boya, holding the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status since 2016, which documents the reliability of companies engaged in foreign trade and provides significant customs facilitation, has established an exemplary organizational structure in the sector to ensure sustainability of the comprehensive criteria required by this status.

The company created a dedicated Authorized Economic Operator Working Committee with the participation of all departments, thereby strengthening standard controls, raising high awareness within the organization, and establishing continuous traceability and transparency as core principles of corporate culture.

Sectoral Model Corporate Structure in AEO
Polisan Kansai Boya, one of the leading brands in the paints sector, strengthened its broad product range with over 250 product varieties and export capacity by integrating AEO processes into a corporate structure. The committee, established in line with membership in the International Authorized Economic Operators Association (IAEOA), appointed Purchasing Manager Mehtun Öztürk as chair and Export Operations Manager Seda Kanbak as vice chair.

Ekmekçioğlu: "AEO is a prestige indicator symbolizing reliability and sustainability."
Polisan Kansai Boya CEO Burak Ekmekçioğlu emphasized that AEO is not merely a certificate but an indicator of the company's international reputation, reliability, and sustainable business model. Ekmekçioğlu made the following assessment:

"Through our committee, we regularly monitor standards, raise awareness within the organization, and ensure continuous traceability of all processes. At our production facility, we monitor certificate, product, and process security through advanced camera systems and information technologies; we prevent unauthorized access through card-based entry systems. We ensure supply chain security through commitments signed with all our stakeholders, from suppliers to subcontractors."

Fast and Cost-Advantaged Exports 24/7 with AEO
Polisan Kansai Boya, which exports to 26 countries and participates in the Turquality program, increases its competitive strength in international markets through the advantages provided by AEO. Ekmekçioğlu stated:

"Thanks to recognized priority passage at customs gates, we deliver faster, safer, and on-time shipments to our customers. This speed and cost advantage enables us to create a continuous export capacity of 7 days and 24 hours."

540,000-Ton Production Capacity and Industry 4.0 Infrastructure
Polisan Kansai Boya's facilities established in GEBKİM on 142,000 square meters, certified with EN 1090-2 and LEED Gold certified environmentally friendly facilities, feature fully digitalized Industry 4.0 infrastructure. Ekmekçioğlu shared the following information about this facility:

"We have an annual production capacity of 180,000 tons in a single shift and a total of 540,000 tons in three shifts. With this potential, we are in a position to meet nearly all of Turkey's decorative paint requirements without additional investment needs. With our increasing shipment volumes, we continue to meet the demands of our customers across a wide geography extending from America to Europe."

"Monitoring 10,238 regulatory provisions is only possible through systematic work"
Ekmekçioğlu, emphasizing that protecting AEO status requires meticulous and continuous monitoring:

"To preserve this status, compliance with 10,238 regulatory provisions is required. Meeting complex obligations in various areas such as training, inspection, physical security, documentation, and process management is only possible through systematic work such as the committee we have established." he said.
