SANKO Holding organized a "Children's Film Festival" programme in Adıyaman to support children affected by the earthquake in their return to social life through educational support, social events and activities.
SANKO Holding held an event for children staying at the SANKO Tekstil Adıyaman Container Living Area, where 450 children spent time enjoying film screenings, educational support and socio-scientific activities.
The event was hosted by SANKO Tekstil Adıyaman Operations, with support from SANKO Park Shopping Mall, teachers and students from SANKO Schools.
Mehmetcan Aslan, Psychologist at SANKO University Hospital, said the event was very beneficial for the psychological normalization of children.
Working also at the SANKO Tekstil Adıyaman Container Living Area, Aslan noted that children express many of their problems through the games they play, stating: "Such events are important in addressing the psychological damage experienced after the earthquake."
Aslan said that children and parents affected by the earthquake have to some extent moved away from earthquake-related psychological stress, expressing: "Through such events, we need to ensure the psychological normalization of individuals affected by the earthquake."
