Schneider Electric presents sustainability initiatives

Schneider Electric Shares Sustainability-Focused Solutions at 7th IEEE Turkey Power & Energy Society Camp Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, participated in the 7th IEEE Turkey Power & Energy Society Camp. The event was hosted by Kocaeli University IEEE Student Organization in the University's Youth Center Conference Hall. Over the 2-day gathering, academics and students from various Turkish universities convened with power and energy sector experts to discuss the future of energy.

Schneider Electric experts shared the company's global experience and sustainability trends with participants during the event. They also presented sustainability initiatives in data centers and the solutions the company provides.

Research indicates that approximately 3% of electricity generated worldwide is used to operate data centers. Schneider Electric serves sustainability in rapidly expanding data centers with a target of achieving 5% annual efficiency gains in cloud storage data usage through 2027. Schneider Electric also reduced energy emissions from its in-house servers by 30% in 2023. Since 2018, at locations where it provides solutions, the company has contributed to savings of a total of 513 million tons of CO2 emissions. Strengthening and expanding these efforts, Schneider Electric shared its innovative solutions with experts and academics leading Turkey's power and energy work, as well as with young people shaping the future. The IEEE Turkey Power & Energy Society Camp created an important meeting point for academia and industry stakeholders through sessions, social events, and technical training.
