Industry Stakeholders to Join Forces to Resolve Sector Problems

The TOBB Plastics, Rubber and Composites Sector Council Board of Directors election was held at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), which has been serving as the representative of professional apex organisations in Turkey. Yavuz Eroğlu, the sole candidate in the Board election, was unanimously re-elected as chairman. A message of unity emerged from the Turkey Plastics, Rubber and Composites Sector Council Board of Directors election. Yavuz Eroğlu, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Plastics Manufacturers Research, Development and Education Foundation (PAGEV), who ran as the sole candidate in the Board election, was elected for a second term as Chairman of the Turkey Plastics, Rubber and Composites Sector Council. Fahri Özer, Chairman of the Board of the Flexible Packaging Manufacturers Association (FASD), became Vice-Chairman. TOBB Management Board Vice-Chairman Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, in his opening remarks, presented the work and activities carried out by the Turkey Plastics, Rubber and Composites Industry Council. He conveyed his gratitude to Chairman Yavuz Eroğlu for his effective and results-oriented work conducted on behalf of the Council in the previous term. Yavuz Eroğlu said, "Since our establishment as the unifying force of the plastics, rubber and composites sectors, we have been conducting intensive efforts. Our plastics, rubber and composites sectors are key drivers of growth both globally and in Turkey, but we are aware that we need to do much more work in demonstrating the importance of these sectors to the country's economy. In the period ahead, we will accelerate our efforts in identifying and addressing the problems of our sectors. With all our sector representatives united in collective strength, we will implement initiatives to advance our sectors without division. I thank all our members who have placed their trust in us and deemed us worthy of this responsibility once again."
