Şişecam’s Net Sales Reached TRY 162 Billion

Şişecam, one of the international players in the glass and chemicals sectors, reported consolidated net sales of TRY 162 billion in the first nine months of 2025. During this period, international sales accounted for 60% of Şişecam's total sales, while total investments reached TRY 22.9 billion and exports amounted to USD 706 million.

Şişecam, an international player in the glass and chemicals sectors, reported consolidated net sales of TRY 162 billion in the first nine months of 2025. International sales accounted for 60 percent of the company's total sales during this period, while total investments reached TRY 22.9 billion and exports reached USD 706 million.

Şişecam disclosed its financial results for the first nine months of 2025. The company's consolidated net sales for the period reached TRY 162 billion, with international sales—comprising exports from Turkey and sales from non-Turkish production facilities—accounting for 60 percent of consolidated sales. In the first nine months, Şişecam's total investments stood at TRY 22.9 billion and exports at USD 706 million. During this period, the company produced 4.2 million tonnes of glass, 3.2 million tonnes of soda ash and 2.9 million tonnes of industrial raw materials.

Şişecam General Manager Can Yücel, noting that the third quarter of 2025 was a period during which global macroeconomic and geopolitical developments continued to affect business, evaluated the company's nine-month performance as follows: "Despite the ongoing challenging and volatile economic environment, Şişecam continues to focus on sustaining and increasing operating profitability, maintaining its market position, and creating value for all stakeholders through sustainable, value-added production. The 'Productivity Management Programme' we launched at the start of the year with a more efficient working approach and have successfully continued has continued to contribute to our results this quarter. We will maintain the same care in conducting our operations for the remainder of 2025. In line with our objective to preserve cash flow capacity and strengthen our financial structure, we continue to take measures for savings and simplification, while focusing on high value-added income-generating areas and our assets in this scope. We will apply this approach, from which we continue to obtain the positive results we anticipated, with due diligence in the periods ahead."

Tarsus investment commissioned
Yücel noted that 2025 represents an important milestone for Şişecam in terms of the completion of its major investments and their becoming revenue-generating, sharing the following information: "Within this year, in which our new investments will be completed to a large extent, we commissioned the energy glass furnace and processing lines at our prioritized value-added project in Tarsus on 19 September 2025. With this project implemented at a total investment of EUR 200 million, Şişecam's tempered glass production capacity established in Turkey reached annual gross 396 thousand tonnes; energy glass processing capacity reached 47 million m² annually. Our investment, which has seen strong demand from the domestic market since operations commenced, aims to enable Turkey to use its resources in the energy sector most efficiently and contribute to the green transition process, and we anticipate it will significantly reduce energy glass imports. We will also complete our Tarsus flat glass furnace investment—part of our Tarsus production complex with a capacity of 1,200 tonnes per day—within the projected timeline, gaining for our country a capacity with significant export potential through its proximity to logistics lines and strategic location alongside our other facilities in the region."

Yücel, noting that this period when investment projects are beginning to bear fruit provides Şişecam with the opportunity to review the financial obligations arising alongside its investments within developing market conditions, continued as follows: "We have accelerated the management of our financing burden by targeting returns on our investments and more favorable conditions. As one of the important steps of this transformation, we wish to share that we have signed a credit agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) totaling a maximum of EUR 550 million for financing our investments in Turkey and working capital needs. Şişecam, a world-class brand of our country, will continue its operations with due diligence for the remainder of the year with an approach to work supported by innovation, always prioritizing quality and customer confidence. As a global player active in all areas of glass, we will prioritize creating maximum value for all our stakeholders by managing geopolitical risks that are likely to persist in 2026 in the best possible way."
