Takeda Türkiye Receives Women-Friendly Brands Award for "STEM Kızlara İyi Gelecek" Project
Takeda Türkiye received the award in the "Equal Opportunity in Education, Culture, Arts, Sports and Science" category at the 6th International Woman Friendly Brands Awareness Awards, for its social responsibility project "STEM Kızlara İyi Gelecek", which brings young girls together with STEM fields.
Takeda Turkey has been recognized at the 6th International Women-Friendly Brands Awareness Awards in the "Equal Opportunity in Education, Culture, Arts, Sports and Science" category for its corporate social responsibility project "STEM for Girls, Better Future," which connects young girls with STEM fields.
Science and Technology-Focused Social Responsibility
Takeda Turkey, with its vision of "A healthier, brighter future," has once again demonstrated its commitment to gender equality, inclusion and women's empowerment. The STEM for Girls, Better Future Project aims to introduce young girls to science and technology at an early age while developing their technical knowledge and skills.
Inclusive and Development-Focused Program
Conducted in cooperation with SistersLab – Association of Women in Science and Technology, the project encourages and supports students learning together. The project offers training programs across 17 different topics ranging from coding to artificial intelligence, 3D design to sustainability. While participants gain technical skills, gender equality awareness and career development are also fostered.
Goal: Reaching More Young Girls
The project reached over one thousand young girls in its first year, and aims to reach a total of two thousand young girls in 2026, coinciding with Takeda's 245th year. Nura Aykanat, General Director of Takeda Turkey, highlighted the value of the award to the project, stating:
"With the 'STEM for Girls, Better Future' project, we aimed to contribute to young girls discovering their potential in science and technology fields. We are deeply proud that this meaningful project has been recognized with the 'International Women-Friendly Brands Awareness Award.'"
