Deputy Minister of Technology Presents R&D Center Certificate to Green Chemicals at Design Summit

The 6th Private Sector R&D and Design Centers Summit was held at ATO Congresium in Ankara on 20–21 December. At the summit, which was attended by Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Dr. Faruk Özlü, Green Chemicals A.Ş. received its R&D Center certificate on the first day of the event from the Technology Minister. In 2017, the company ranked 411th nationwide, 21st in the chemical sector, and first in its field. The summit, which lasted two days, provided a platform for sharing new technologies and outputs resulting from projects at R&D and Design Centers, and for discussing the challenges faced by these centers. At the event themed "Development through R&D and Innovation," Can Ali Aydın, Business Development and Marketing Manager of Green Chemicals A.Ş., who received the R&D Center certificate from Minister Dr. Faruk Özlü, stated: "Knowing that receiving the R&D center designation is the first step of our company's contribution to the development of our country's industry and technology, we have set our goals as becoming the most successful R&D center in the chemical sector in the short term, and the company that develops and commercializes the most technology among R&D centers in the long term. The secret to reaching these points is simply and only hard work." Aydın also noted that, as the Green Chemicals family, their expectation is that the R&D work they carry out will result in products containing advanced technology that will create added value in our economy and increase our competitiveness in international markets.

Used Cutting-Edge Technology in Production and R&D, Received R&D Center Designation

Green Chemicals A.Ş., which successfully implemented all stages of the program created by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology to support and encourage technology-intensive production, entrepreneurship and investments in these areas, as well as increased employment of R&D personnel and skilled workforce for R&D and innovation, continues its pioneering work in the chemical sector as the 411th center among R&D centers, which now number 762. Speaking at the summit, Minister Dr. Faruk Özlü stated that R&D and design are key concepts in the digital transformation process, and that those who invest by placing them at the center of production will always come out ahead. Noting that innovation is now mandatory for companies, Özlü said that R&D is an indispensable element for our country in achieving export growth. He added that they allocated approximately TRY 5 billion from the 2018 budget, and that approximately 45,000 people are employed in R&D and design centers.
