TİKAV Has Been Delivering Social Benefit in Education, Health and Social Development for 27 Years

Türkiye İnsan Kaynakları Eğitim ve Sağlık Vakfı (TİKAV), in its 27th year of operation, continues to touch the lives of thousands of people across Turkey through projects spanning education, health, youth development and public awareness.

Founded by Akfen Holding, TİKAV has been implementing education, personal development, equal opportunity and social development-focused projects since 1999 with an "investment in people" approach. The foundation transforms social benefit into a sustainable model through its national and international programs, expanding its impact year after year.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM SUPPORTS 411 YOUNG PEOPLE
The Personal Development Program (BGP), one of TİKAV's longest-running initiatives, aims to provide equal opportunity for university students studying particularly in the East and Southeast Anatolia regions.

Within the program scope, students receive four-year support in personal development, foreign languages, volunteering, culture and arts, and mentoring. To date, 411 young people have participated in the program and gained academic, social and professional development opportunities.

As part of volunteering activities, which constitute an important component of the program, TİKAV scholarship recipients and Akfen Volunteers raise donations for socially-beneficial projects at the Istanbul Marathon each year. Most recently, the "Leaders of Tomorrow" campaign provided education and development support to 64 scholarship recipients.

OVER 12,000 PEOPLE REACHED THROUGH PROJECTS FOR WOMEN AND FAMILIES
TİKAV draws attention through projects supporting women's participation in social and economic life, family communication programs, awareness-raising activities for families of persons with disabilities and projects improving educational environments.

Through national projects implemented to date by the foundation, over 12,000 women and their families have been directly reached.

AKFEN RENEWABLE ENERGY SUPPORT WIDENS IMPACT IN RURAL AREAS
In recent years, thousands of people have been reached through projects financed by Akfen Renewable Energy.

Through the "Take Precautions, Stay Safe" project implemented in 2025, disaster awareness training was provided to approximately 3,000 people. The "Our Digital Footprint" project delivered digital security training to 2,500 people, while the "Saving at Home, Future in Our Hands" project reached another 2,500 people on energy and water conservation topics.

The "Hygiene is Health" project provided training to approximately 1,900 people, while the "Health First" project reached 1,500 people. The "We Studied at Home" project provided early childhood development support to 800 mothers.

3,000 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EARTHQUAKE-AFFECTED STUDENTS
TİKAV continues to support young people's educational journeys through scholarship programs.

Through the "Together Hand in Hand" scholarship program launched following the earthquake, support has been provided throughout their educational lives to 3,000 university students, while various other scholarship programs contribute to hundreds of students.

INTERNATIONAL YOUTH AWARD PROGRAM REACHES OVER 21,000 YOUNG PEOPLE
The International Youth Award Program, which TİKAV represents in Turkey, ranks among the important projects contributing to youth development.

Implemented in over 130 countries, the program has reached over 21,000 young people in Turkey to date and produced over 10,000 graduates.

Implemented with 163 active award centres across Turkey and approximately 1,000 volunteer leaders, the program enables young people to develop themselves in volunteering, skill development, physical development and exploration areas.
