Turkey's Exporters Assembly (TİM) held the first in a series of consultation meetings under the banner of "TİM Southeast Anatolia Assembly" in Gaziantep, establishing an open communication platform. The platform was created with the participation of all stakeholders in the export ecosystem across Turkey. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle stated: "Beyond macro-level plans at the national level, working at a more micro scale and with greater precision—with the support of our unions and opinion leaders in the provinces—has the potential to lead us to success. Today, we are igniting this enthusiasm in Gaziantep, and in the shortest time we will undertake what amounts to a Turkey tour and traverse our country from end to end. Wherever we go, we will discuss that province's and region's exports. We will work to bring new firms and entrepreneurs into the export family, and we will strive to increase exports from our existing exporters" he said.
The Turkey's Exporters Assembly (TİM), embarking on a journey to meet all stakeholders in the export ecosystem across Turkey, continues its work with 61 exporter unions, 13 general secretariats and 27 sectors, comprising an export family of nearly 85,000 members.
Adopting a 360-degree perspective and in line with the goal of "Turkey as a Trade Surplus Provider," the first of the consultation meetings—where exporters' demands are heard and regional issues are addressed—was held in Gaziantep as the "TİM Southeast Anatolia Assembly," functioning as an open communication platform. The meeting, hosted by TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle, was attended by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin, Gaziantep Governor Davut Gül, heads of Southeast Anatolia Exporter Unions and their boards of directors, and opinion leaders from the region. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said in his remarks: "Assemblies are particularly special and valued forms of meeting in our country's social, cultural and political life from past to present. Building on this foundation, as TİM, in cooperation with our Southeast Anatolia Exporter Unions, we are launching the first of the assembly meetings we are holding in Gaziantep and will traverse Anatolia step by step. Beyond macro-level plans at the national level, working at a more micro scale and with greater precision—with the support of our unions and opinion leaders in the provinces—has the potential to lead us to success. Today, we are igniting this enthusiasm in Gaziantep, and in the shortest time we will undertake what amounts to a Turkey tour and traverse our country from end to end. Wherever we go, we will discuss that province's and region's exports. We will work to bring new firms and entrepreneurs into the export family, and we will strive to increase exports from our existing exporters. In doing this, we will always include academic research, scientific analysis and of course field training" he said.
