Güray Yıldız Appointed General Manager of Laundry and Home Care at Türk Henkel

Güray Yıldız, who has been serving as General Manager of Henkel Hungary Laundry and Home Care, has been appointed as General Manager of Henkel Turkey Laundry and Home Care following a recent organizational change.

Güray Yıldız has been appointed to the position of General Manager of Henkel Turkey Laundry and Home Care, which became vacant when Töre Birol was appointed Vice President of Sales and Country Management for Henkel Laundry and Home Care Middle East Europe. Güray Yıldız is a graduate of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration from Middle East Technical University. He began his career in 1997 at Gillette. In 1999, he joined Henkel as Chain Store Representative for Henkel Turkey Laundry and Home Care. Between 1999 and 2006, he held management positions in Sales, Commercial Marketing and Category Management divisions at Henkel Turkey. He subsequently spent one year in Vienna as International Brand Manager for the Henkel Central and Eastern Europe region. Between 2008 and 2010, he worked as Traditional Channel and Field Sales Manager for Turkey. In 2011, he became Sales Director for Henkel Turkey Laundry and Home Care. Since 2014, Yıldız has served as General Manager of Henkel Hungary Laundry and Home Care, and continues his career at Henkel Turkey as General Manager of Laundry and Home Care. Fluent in English and German, and with basic knowledge of Hungarian, Yıldız is married with two children. Regarding his new position, he stated: "Being appointed as general manager to the company where I started approximately 20 years ago as a sales representative is extremely gratifying. As a Laundry and Home Care business unit, we have delivered very successful results in recent years. Now, as a team, we aim to further develop these results and provide maximum contribution to Henkel's global 2020 targets. Additionally, in this context, we want to nurture a greater number of young talents who can shape the future of Henkel in Turkey and the world."
