Leading professionals from the chemistry industry gathered at the 20th anniversary celebration of Turkey's Additive Manufacturers Association (KÜB).

KÜB Board Chairman Emrah ERTİN, in his opening remarks at the event, stated that Turkey, which holds a significant share in concrete production worldwide, single-handedly produces 40% of the total output of EFCA (European Admixture Manufacturers Federation) member countries in concrete additives. ERTİN noted that concrete is the most widely produced material by humans globally, and highlighted that as world population increases, the need for food, energy, land, water and shelter also rises, which in turn creates greater construction demands. Emphasizing that the use of new-generation concrete additives produced with the latest technology is gradually reducing the environmental impact of construction, Emrah ERTİN stated that in modern times concrete has become a product with lower water-to-cement ratios, greater strength, durability and ecological benefits, and will contain increasing amounts of recycled materials.
Following Emrah Ertin's opening speech, tokens of appreciation were presented to founding members and former board chairmen (Murat Belen, Nizamettin Günel, Nihat Girit, İzzet Kamil Kapucuoğlu, Kazım Yaşar Levent and on behalf of the late Volkan Ardaç, Emre Ardaç, Cüneyt Dayıcıoğlu, Buket Tolun and Bora Yıldırım).
The event continued with a presentation on "Chemical Additive Technologies" by members of the KÜB Technical Committee: "Osman Tezel, Emrah Karataş, E. Yavuz Şahin, Özgür Mutlu, Kenan Çelikkaya, Alev Çankayalı and Uğur E. Şenbil". Additionally, a panel discussion on "Expectations and Evaluations for the Construction, Concrete and Cement Sectors in the Coming Period" was held. The panel, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Yıldırım, faculty member of the Civil Engineering Department at Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Civil Engineering, featured speakers including Fethi Hinginar, former Board Chairman of İMSAD Building Materials Manufacturers Association, Yavuz IŞIK, Board Member of Turkey Ready-Mix Concrete Association and ERMCO Turkey President of the European Ready-Mix Concrete Organization, and İsmail Bulut, CEO of Turkey Cement Producers Association and Secretary General of Building Products Manufacturers Federation. The panelists drew attention to the economic volume created by concrete and concrete additives production in the construction sector in Turkey and globally, highlighting the country's presence in this field. The panelists emphasized that Additive Manufacturers Association (KÜB), founded in 1998 as Turkey's first and only chemical additive manufacturers association, bringing together producers of concrete, mortar and cement additives to supply consumers with high-technology, quality products, and serving as an umbrella organization representing Turkey within the European Admixture Manufacturers Federation (EFCA), has provided services to all stakeholders in the concrete, construction and cement sectors for 20 years. The KÜB 20th Anniversary celebration concluded with a cocktail reception accompanied by a Grup Gündoğarken concert.
