İZAYDAŞ Successfully Completes Major Maintenance

The İZAYDAŞ Incineration Facility, which undergoes regular maintenance and selective modernization of certain sections each year, has successfully completed another major overhaul. İZAYDAŞ General Manager Muhammet Saraç noted that the major maintenance work contributed to the successful performance of the incineration facility, stating that "planned maintenance work is completed on schedule each year without disrupting service to customers."

Facility Modernization Work

The most important portion of the major maintenance work carried out at the İZAYDAŞ facilities in October consists of rotary kiln and vertical kiln maintenance work. While inspections and cleaning were performed at all access points opened for facility maintenance by the relevant departments, 212 tons of brick replacement was carried out in the rotary kiln and secondary combustion chamber (vertical kiln). Chemical cleaning and maintenance of the condenser and cooling water fins, heat recovery boiler roof sealing and maintenance, blasting of the boiler superheater section, internal piping work in connection with the conversion of facility burners to natural gas, demineralization unit valve maintenance, and as part of demineralization unit modernization, automation panel replacement and commissioning operations were completed. The general metal framework painting work of the facility is ongoing.

Filter Systems Renewed

In the successfully completed planned major maintenance, pump and critical line maintenance was also performed, along with tank cleaning in the lime, venturi and treatment facility. Heat recovery boiler maintenance, slag and wet ash conveyor maintenance, electrical and instrumentation system maintenance, and particularly meticulous maintenance of gas treatment units such as dioxin-furan, electrostatic filter, and lime spray systems were carried out.

Saraç Inspected Work On-Site

İZAYDAŞ General Manager Muhammet Saraç inspected the facility maintenance work on-site. Saraç subsequently conducted a field tour within the facility and met with maintenance personnel. General Manager Muhammet Saraç, providing information about the maintenance work performed, noted that technical maintenance at İZAYDAŞ, as with any production facility, is carried out on a regular basis.
