Turkey Innovation Week Concludes

Turkey Innovation Week Comes to a Close "New Century of Innovation" themed event held at Haliç Congress Center, Turkey Innovation Week concluded after two days of hosting domestic and international guests. Taking place under the auspices of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) with contributions from the Ministry of Trade, the opening ceremony was attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who addressed a large gathering of guests and pledged to make Turkey one of the world's 10 most developed economies.

The second day of the event, which featured 41 domestic and four international speakers, began with remarks by Turkish Exporters Assembly Chairman Mustafa Gültepe.

"Your support for work that will elevate our country further increases our motivation. We desire to make innovation a way of life. Because we know that production alone is not enough. We must add value to what we produce through innovation, design, technology, R&D, and our equipped human resources. As TİM, we operate with this awareness and responsibility," said Gültepe, continuing: "The global economy is undergoing major change and transformation. In the new era, competition will not focus solely on price. Those who act innovatively and invest more in human resources will gain a step ahead in competition. With this perspective, we continue our work toward the vision of raising Turkey among the top 10 countries in exports."

Emphasizing the great visionary outlook, intellect and science behind the success of reaching the USD 250 billion export target set for 2022, Gültepe continued:

"As TİM, we are carrying out many projects simultaneously to develop the innovation ecosystem. Turkey Innovation Week, which we are organizing for the ninth time this year, is at the forefront of these efforts. On the first day of our event, we hosted speakers of great value. We heard directly from the architects of the work and projects that have elevated our country to a higher tier in the defense industry. We discussed the technologies of the future, change and global competition." Noting that the second day would welcome visitors with a full program, Chairman Gültepe concluded his remarks by thanking the ministries for their support of Turkey Innovation Week, contributing institutions, companies and young people.    

Artistic Interpretations

At Turkey Innovation Week, innovative ideas found expression through artistic events. Throughout the week, four domestic and three international exhibitions and three installations were presented to science and art enthusiasts. Exhibitions and installations consisting of works by new media artists and global designers who successfully represent our country at national and international levels in different disciplines such as digital art, bio design, sound design and electronic textiles were followed with interest. Meanwhile, the TİM - TEB Entrepreneurship Houses project presented within the scope of Turkey Innovation Week also garnered great interest. At the event, technology-based innovative projects, products and services of 13 entrepreneurs from TİM-TEB Entrepreneurship Houses, Turkey's most widespread and comprehensive entrepreneurship community, were presented.  

İnovaTİM Awards Found Their Winners

The awards of the İnovaTİM Innovation Competition, organized in the categories of Artificial Intelligence and Future Forecasting, Sustainability and Nature Protection within the scope of Turkey Innovation Week, were presented on the second day. Young people received their awards from Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank and Youth and Sports Minister Muharrem Kasapoğlu.
