For the First Time in Türkiye, "Anatolian Plants" Comes to Life as a Short Film Competition!

İva Natura Organik Kozmetik is hosting the first edition of a short film competition launched as a corporate social responsibility project. The competition's main theme is "Cosmetic Plants of Anatolia," aimed at highlighting the country's rich vegetation, the importance of Anatolian plants used in cosmetics, the biological and cultural value of Anatolian plants, and drawing attention to sustainable organic living. The awards ceremony will be held on 29 November 2017 at Gayrettepe, Prof. Sami Şekeroğlu Cinema and TV Center, Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, in a prestigious ceremony.

Strong Jury Panel

The "Anatolian Plants" themed short film competition, a first in Turkey, features prominent figures from the country such as Derviş Zaim, Coşkun Aral, Uğur İçbak, Özcan Yüksek, Ferhat Kazancı, Müge Boz, Didem Balçın, Prof.Dr.Hüsnü Can Başer, Günnihal Demir, Oya Ayman and Tevfik Başer. Levent Kahrıman, chair of the competition's organizing committee, noted that many short films in various categories including documentary, graphic animation, experimental and narrative have been submitted, and the selection process proved quite challenging. He stated that the themes of the İva Natura Organic Cosmetics Short Film Competition, being held for the first time this year, include Anatolian plants, legends and stories related to Anatolian cosmetic plants, and the use and processing of plants in today's cosmetics sector. Levent Kahrıman said they will continue with new social projects without pause alongside the gala night, expressed satisfaction with the interest shown in the competition, indicated that they see the competition as having long-term potential, and signalled that the İva Natura Organic Cosmetics Short Film Competition will evolve into an increasingly growing film festival with different stakeholders.
