TUSAŞ Invests in 50,000-Core High-Performance Computer
Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii (TUSAŞ) has established itself as a pioneer in the field by expanding its processor core count from the previously achieved 20,000 cores to 50,000 cores through investment in a high-performance cluster computer. With capacity reaching 70,000 cores, the company aims to achieve significant time savings in testing and analysis, and will use the system to analyze alternative test scenarios for the aircraft it develops.
Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii, which develops world-class projects for Turkey's independent defence and aerospace ecosystem, has committed to a 50,000-core computer investment that will reduce testing time required across all phases—from design to production—of its developed aircraft.
Having previously expanded its processor capacity beyond 20,000 cores, the company will reduce computation time for thousands of interconnected calculations by a factor of four through this new investment. This will contribute to accelerating project schedules for indigenous aircraft development.
With the new investment reducing testing durations across all product groups, including the National Combat Aircraft, the company will also recruit technical staff and engineers to operate the computer and analyze data, thereby contributing to employment. In this way, Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii will also pioneer the introduction of human resources capable of conducting multiple tests simultaneously to the aerospace ecosystem.

Commenting on the investment, Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil stated, "Digital tests are increasingly replacing physical tests. With substantial support from our government, our investments continue to enable the execution of projects that will elevate our country to the highest level in the aerospace sector through performing millions of these tests and analyzing their data. With this investment, taking into account our 2023 vision targets, we aim to bring our aircraft to the sky in a shorter timeframe.
