Daiichi Sankyo Turkey Continues Growth with New Appointments
Japan-based pharmaceutical company Daiichi Sankyo, operating in Turkey since 2008, continues to grow globally and in Turkey with its strong products in cardiology and oncology. In line with this growth, Daiichi Sankyo aimed to enter 2020 by strengthening its workforce with experienced names. The company appointed Asena Kaçmaz as Head of Human Resources and Corporate Relations, Berk Kıran as Head of Marketing, Dr. Kasım Üstündağ as Head of Medical Affairs, and Efecan Eşiyok as Head of Financial Control.Head of Human Resources and Corporate Communications: Asena Kaçmaz
After graduating from Dokuz Eylül University's Economics Department in 2004, Asena Kaçmaz held various human resources positions at numerous international companies including Netsis Software, Nokia, and Chep Container and Pallet (Brambles Group Company). In 2014, she transitioned to the pharmaceutical sector by starting work as Head of Human Resources at Actavis. Kaçmaz played an active role in the merger processes of Actavis with Allergan and Actavis with Teva, and most recently served as Head of Human Resources at Teva.Head of Marketing: Berk Kıran
Berk Kıran graduated from Sakarya University's Industrial Engineering Department in 2003 and completed his master's degrees in Organizational Development and Human Resources at Middle East Technical University and the Executive MBA program at Koç University. Kıran began his career in the pharmaceutical sector as a Medical Sales Representative at Abdi İbrahim Pharmaceutical within the Management Trainee Program. He worked as a Product Manager at Abdi İbrahim and Abbott, subsequently holding various managerial positions at different levels across different therapeutic areas at Abbvie Pharmaceutical. In 2014, Kıran served as Head of Marketing & Sales at Abbvie, where he played a role in establishing the Oncology and Hematology group.Head of Medical Affairs: Dr. Kasım Üstündağ
Dr. Kasım Üstündağ graduated from Trakya University Faculty of Medicine in 2002 and worked at the Ministry of Justice Forensic Medicine Institute until 2010. From 2010, Dr. Üstündağ joined Roche, where he held various positions including Team Leadership and Group Management roles in medical and marketing departments in the field of oncological hematology.Head of Financial Control: Efecan Eşiyok
Efecan Eşiyok graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University's International Finance Department and began his career in 2011 as an Audit Specialist at Ernst & Young.
