Sabancı Makes CDP Global Leaders List with 8 Companies
Sabancı, which places serving sustainable living at the center of its Group Pledge, once again demonstrated its leading position in sustainability by having 8 of its companies included in the list.
Placing sustainable living at the heart of the Community Promise, Sabancı demonstrated its pioneering position in sustainability with 8 companies on the list.
The Group reinforced its leadership stance in the sustainability field once again.
Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), a non-profit global organization that manages the world's leading environmental reporting platform, published its 2024 Global Leaders list.
Alongside Sabancı Holding, Akbank, Brisa, Carrefoursa, Çimsa, Enerjisa Enerji, Kordsa and Teknosa—among the other 10 Community companies that report to CDP—succeeded in representing Turkish business on the list. While the Sabancı Group had 5 companies on the Global Leaders list last year, it increased this number to 8, thereby reaching its highest representation rate on the list to date.

In his assessment of the matter, Sabancı Holding CEO Cenk Alper stated that they are greatly pleased to see their comprehensive work in the sustainability field recognized by the world's leading organizations, adding: "In all areas where we operate, we integrate the best global-scale sustainability practices into our operations. For an investment holding of our size, such a commitment undoubtedly brings many challenges. But at this point we have reached, the path to lasting success in sustainability goes through facing challenges head-on and persevering in our efforts. These results are the strongest indicator of Sabancı's commitment in this field. Today, along with Sabancı Holding, 8 out of our 11 companies that report to CDP are among the Global Leaders.
One of our remaining 3 companies is on the Turkey Leaders list, while 2 are represented at the Management level. Approximately 73% of our Group is at the global leadership level, which is an exceptionally difficult level to reach among investment holdings of our size worldwide. This is also the highest representation rate we have achieved in Sabancı's history. I thank all our companies that have embraced sustainability—which stands at the center of our Community Promise—so deeply."
By being included on the CDP Global Leaders list, Sabancı Group companies stand out among more than 20,000 companies worldwide through concrete steps taken in sustainability strategy, climate change and water security, demonstrating high performance and commitment to transparency.
