Siemens Türkiye Grows by Adding Value to People and Organizations

Siemens Türkiye leads the sector through Human Resources and Organization practices

Siemens Türkiye, which transforms today for the future, emphasises the value it places on people through innovative practices. Having been selected as the 'Happiest Workplace' three consecutive times in the 'Technology' sector at the Happy Place to Work Awards, Siemens Türkiye prioritises the meaning of work and the concept of happiness while aiming to offer the most comprehensive total benefits package through benefits and privileges it provides in line with changing market conditions and trends. Eligible employees at Siemens Türkiye have access to hybrid, flexible or remote work arrangements throughout the year. This enables employees to work from any city and location of their choice throughout the year. Along with flexible benefits offered at Siemens Türkiye, opportunities such as Workplace Respect Culture, long-term Share Programme and Healthy Lifestyle Camp are available.

For 168 years, Siemens Türkiye has continued to contribute to the country's economy and create employment, and continues to differentiate itself in the sector through benefits practices implemented for its employees.

Making a statement regarding the practices Siemens Türkiye has implemented in the Human Resources field, Siemens Türkiye Director of People and Organization Aslı Kunur said: "While continuing our sector leadership in innovation, digitalisation and sustainability, we also continue our pioneering role in the sector through our People and Organization practices. As Siemens Türkiye, we regard people as our most valuable resource and place the health, happiness and positive experience of our colleagues first. In this regard, we have many practices in place.

As Siemens Türkiye, we are firmly committed to an initiative we call 'Workplace Respect Culture' for a safe and healthy work environment free from discrimination, bullying, psychological or physical harassment. In this context, we have prepared a policy and manifesto. We regularly train our colleagues and managers and raise their awareness. Our aim is to continuously maintain a professional work environment where people approach each other with respect.

Lifelong learning is an integral part of our culture. Our employees have access to content from platforms such as Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, HBR and GetAbstract through our digital learning platform both for their job requirements and to develop themselves in different areas.

In addition to technical and professional training, we have special programmes for mental and physical health. We have a 24/7 counselling line that is available to both our employees and family members living in the same household. Additionally, we offer selected colleagues a 2-week healthy lifestyle camp each year that supports them in adopting a healthy lifestyle and maintaining it in the long term.

Ownership culture is one of our most important values. All Siemens employees can become Siemens shareholders by accessing a dedicated platform during the annual 'Offering Period' and determining their monthly investment amount themselves. Employees who invest in shares for 1 year earn 1 free share for every 3 shares held after a 2-year waiting period. In addition to these, Siemens employees benefit from an employer-contributed individual retirement system. While employees contribute to the system based on an amount they determine, our company contributes the same amount up to a certain limit.

We have made it a global permanent arrangement for eligible employees to have access to hybrid, flexible or remote work options throughout the year, not just in summer months. This enables our colleagues to experience working from different cities throughout the year.  Additionally, with our office hours ending 1 hour early on Fridays, we support our colleagues in achieving work-life balance.

Beyond statutory paternity leave, we provide paid leave allowing new fathers among our employees to take 15 days of paternity leave. Siemens employees who are parents of children of primary school age are given leave on the first day schools open. Mothers with children aged 0-60 months can receive monthly childcare support up to a certain amount. We offer a competitive health insurance package to all our colleagues without any discrimination.

With our competitive benefits and privileges, we will continue to increase employee loyalty, productivity and motivation; and support equality, equal opportunity and inclusion, as well as the health and wellbeing of our colleagues."
